Placement Information – I have been allocated a placement away from home, can I have accommodation?
For all Nursing, Midwifery, and Allied Health Programmes
As part of your placement opportunities, you may be allocated a placement area which is greater than an hour away (~30 miles) from the university base (CF37 4BD) e.g., Powys Health Board placements. In these situations, we will provide and pay for accommodation in line with HEIW travel guidance, this may be on a Bed & Breakfast basis or within a holiday let.
If you are allocated an away from home placement, the Placement team will contact you at least 8 weeks before the start of your placement to make the necessary arrangements.
