Placement Information – How do I find out details of my next placement?

For students studying Nursing, Midwifery and Occupational Therapy

You will be provided with your placement details a minimum of 4 weeks before each placement begins.

Once a placement has been allocated to you, your placement information will be uploaded onto Placements on the Web (POW) and ePAD, a minimum of four weeks in advance. Within POW you will be able to find placement contact information, the dates you are expected to be on placement, travel guidance and an overview of what the placement entails. In exceptional circumstances (e.g., placement staff shortages/sickness, placement speciality changes) the notice may be shorter, but you will be informed of this in advance using Advice Zone Online along with an expected date.

For Students studying Operating Department Practice

You will be provided with details of your placements for a full academic year during your induction. Subsequent years’ placements will be provided in advance of the next academic year.

Your placement information will be uploaded onto Placements on the Web (POW)  and ePAD

Please note you need to evaluate your previous placement in order to see your next placement’s documentation.

For students studying Physiotherapy

You will be provided with details of your placements for a full academic year before the end of your first year of study. Please be aware that although we endeavour to give you as much notice as possible all placements are subject to change to take account of external factors within placement areas.

Your placement information will be uploaded onto Placements on the Web (POW)  and ePAD.

Please note you need to evaluate your previous placement in order to see your next placement’s documentation.
