For fixed placements, Placements on the Web (POW) automatically calculates your expenses once your timesheets are submitted and approved.
You can claim travel expenses if the return journey distance from your home to your placement is more than the return journey distance from your home to the University, in this circumstance, you can claim the excess mileage (e.g., your return journey from home to University is 20 miles and your return journey from home to your placement is 30 miles, you can submit a claim for 10 miles).
The current rate for mileage claims is 31p per mile.
If you have submitted a term time address that is different to your home address, we will calculate based on your term time address.
