FAQ 287
Why must the University monitor my attendance?

FYI This only applies to Tier 4/Student Route International Students.

International students, who have declared that their primary intention in the UK is to attend a full-time course of study delivered by the University of South Wales, have been sponsored by the University under Tier 4/Student route immigration.

The UKVI (Home Office) requires the University of South Wales, as your Tier 4/Student Route sponsor, to monitor your attendance and engagement with your course. We do this to keep all our students safe, as we must protect our Tier 4/Student Route Sponsor Licence and the immigration status of our Tier 4/Student Route international students.
