FAQ 252
How do I complete a good job application?

An application form requires that you demonstrate how you meet all the requirements of the job as specified by the employer. Your evidence could include examples from your experience, your education as well as your extra-curricular activities.  These requirements are usually detailed in the person specification of the vacancy information. The ‘personal statement’ part of the application is generally where you evidence your suitability though some applications will ask specific questions asking you to demonstrate your strengths, weaknesses and competencies.

See USW Careers Application pages for more resources and further information on making effective applications.
