FAQ 225
Where can I find information about getting work experience and part-time jobs?

Student jobs, work experience placements and volunteering opportunities are advertised on CareersConnect, the Careers job site.

In the first instance, please speak to your placement module leader who will be able to offer advice and suggestions and let you know what support is available for you.

USW want to prepare you for the future by including employability elements in every course.  We know it’s not all about the qualifications, but about the practical experience needed to understand the industry you’d like to enter as a graduate.

Our Student Placement Guide will provide you with all the information you may need about a work placement.  While you are on a placement, you are still a USW student and we will continue to support your academic development and general safeguarding.  This guide is designed to answer the questions you may have about your placement along with several information sheets that have been designed for specific areas of the student placement guide.
