Placements for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Programmes – My DBS certificate is due to expire – what do I do?

You are required to have a current enhanced DBS throughout the duration of your course, failure to do so will result in you being unable to undertake placements.  Your DBS is valid for one year from the certificate issue date. It is recommended that once you receive your DBS certificate you register for the DBS Update service, which for a yearly fee (currently £13) will keep your certificate up to date enabling us to easily check your DBS status.  Please note: this must be applied for within 30 days of the certificate valid from date.

For more information please visit - https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service

If you have not registered for the update service and your certificate issue date is older than 12 months, you must apply for a new enhanced DBS certificate as you will not be able to attend placement until it is renewed.

Please contact us and we will provide the details you require.
