FAQ 493
When should I call an ambulance?

You should call 999 in a medical emergency – when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you call an ambulance whilst you are on campus, please notify Security to inform them of your location so that they can direct the ambulance to the correct place when they arrive.

You could also contact a first aider on campus by telephoning the medical emergency number on 01443 433 333. If it’s not a life-threatening emergency and you or the person you’re with doesn’t need immediate medical attention, please consider other options before dialling 999.
