Who can I contact out of hours if I feel like I need to talk to somebody?

  • If you feel that the need is urgent, and life is in danger call 999.
  • If you need urgent support, but there is no immediate danger to life, your own GP (Doctor) will have an out of hours service. 

NHS Direct Wales have a 24 hour helpline you can call anonymously. Depending on your reason for calling, you will be put through to a Nurse Adviser, Health Information Adviser or Dental Health Adviser. Contact NHS Direct Wales on 0845 46 47.

  • If you need to talk to someone

The Samaritans is a 24hr phone service, every day of the year. If you don’t feel like calling, they also offer an anonymous email service. The Samaritans offer a safe place for you to talk any time you like, in your own way – about whatever’s getting to you. Contact the Samaritans on 116 123.
