What will happen to my Extenuating Circumstances application?
Once received, your Extenuating Circumstances application and supporting evidence will be checked against criteria in the Extenuating Circumstances Regulations. If there is not enough evidence for a decision to be made, you will be contacted and advised to provide more detail.
5.1 Straightforward Claims
Where a claim for extenuating circumstances is straightforward the nominee of Advice Zone Manager will review the claim and make a decision in line with published guidelines. The nominee of the Advice Zone Manager, in signing the form, authorises the decision.
5.4. Complex Claims
Complex cases will be considered by a university-wide Extenuating Circumstances Panel on a minimum of a fortnightly basis.
