What supporting evidence do I need to apply for Extenuating Circumstances?

The type of evidence will depend on the circumstances of your claim. (Further information can be found within the Extenuating Circumstances Regulations.)

Examples include:

Bereavement

  - A death certificate, obituary or Order of Service.

Illness or accident

  - A letter or report from your GP, hospital, Psychiatrist or other health care professional.

Crime, serious incident or particularly distressing or difficult circumstances

  - A report or letter from a professional e.g. Solicitor, Police, Crisis Centre or Council.

Competing at an International level e.g. for sport or drama

  - A letter or programme from a Recognised Body.
